Join us Thursday July 22nd 4:00 - 8:00PM at the Ventura harbor for a great night of running, swimming, food and fun. 3 Restaurants, 2 bands, and 1 monster raffle featuring over 3000.00 in raffle prizes including a 9'0 Walden Magic Model featuring the Inside Track logo, clear deck and green rails. 100% of the raffle proceeds go directly to the Kris Perry Foundation & Ventura High School cross country. Inside Track is a special shop, established in 1974 it is a core running, biking and swimming shop for runners and tri-athletes. The store has a great selection of shoes, bikes, apparel, gear, and race nutrition. Inside track also has a running club that meets several days a week for distance running and training. You would think this is not a place for your average runner, biker or swimmer, it's too core... but Inside Track isn't that kind of store, it is a friendly neighborhood shop with a welcoming vibe. On any given day you might see a lean mean marathoner or a group of older ladies shopping for shoes for their morning walk..everyone is welcome. What really makes Inside Track one of our favorite places is the staff, owner Michelle and her crew are all athletes who live the lifestyle and are passionate about their sports, you will get expert advice from the super fit and super easy going staff. When Michelle isn't running the shop you will see her at almost every local race with her family either putting on a race or helping out. So why is Walden Surfboards working with a running shop, well surfers and runners have a lot in common. We are all athletes who just want't to get outside and move. Like a day catching waves or a long distance trail run we are all just feeling the stoke doing what we love. A lot of surfers run and a lot of runners surf, our paths cross often in Ventura so we decided this year we wanted to support a "sister shop" so to speak and their wonderful "Harbor Lights" event. We (Walden Surfboards) don't know of a healthier or more fun way to spend a summer night than a friendly competitive run or swim followed by great local food and music...oh yeah and a chance to win a Walden Magic model.
